Software

Our staff has expertise in a variety of software platforms and can provide accounting services using your existing software. You can also choose to use eXtend Shared Service Center software.

eXtend uses Microsoft Terminal Services to deliver customer applications via the Internet.

Hosting

Our Data Center includes redundant hardware and communication configurations, off-site storage, daily data backups, 24x7 continuous system and application availability and performance monitoring, UPS, and battery and diesel generator backup. eXtend has a long history of providing greater than 99.5% service availability for our government and commercial clients.

eXtend uses Dell PowerEdge servers with redundant power supplies and RAID disk configurations. Daily backups are made to disk-based storage servers and tapes are created weekly for off-site storage.

All service related Internet traffic is encrypted using 128-bit RC-5 encryption. All servers are protected by Checkpoint FW-1 firewalls and operate on switched networks. All traffic is monitored with network and host-based intrusion detection. The application servers run anti-virus software with automated engine and pattern updates. For highly sensitive data, additional services including site-to-site VPN and two-factor authentication are available. Dedicated Disaster Recovery is also available.
